Criibb Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Criibb’s platform for discovering and listing short-term rental properties across Nigeria. Please read them carefully.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Criibb! Criibb is a trusted online platform designed to help individuals and businesses across Nigeria discover, list, and rent short-term accommodation and rental properties. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Criibb website, mobile site, services, and all associated content (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you may not use the Platform. Criibb is operated in Nigeria and subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Our mission is to connect property owners (Hosts) with individuals (Guests) seeking secure, temporary housing and rental solutions.
2. Definitions
For the purpose of these Terms: • “User” refers to anyone using the Criibb Platform, including both Guests and Hosts. • “Guest” means any user who books or attempts to book a property listed on Criibb. • “Host” refers to any user who lists, manages, or offers a property for rent on Criibb. • “Listing” is any property or unit made available by a Host for booking on the Platform. • “Booking” refers to a confirmed rental agreement between a Guest and a Host for a specific property. • “Platform” refers to the Criibb website, mobile platform, and any associated digital services. • “Content” means all text, images, videos, data, and other material posted or shared on Criibb.
3. Using Criibb
Criibb offers a platform for Hosts and Guests to connect, communicate, and transact. We are not a party to any agreement between a Host and a Guest. As a neutral intermediary, Criibb does not own or manage property listings. While we strive to ensure a safe and quality user experience, all interactions, agreements, and transactions are made directly between users. Criibb does not guarantee the condition, safety, legality, or suitability of any listing. You agree that you are solely responsible for any content you share, listings you create, or bookings you make on the Platform.
4. Account Creation & Eligibility
To access certain features of Criibb, including listing or booking a property, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. By creating an account, you confirm that: • You are at least 18 years old; • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; • You are using your real name and accurate details; • You are not barred from using our services under any Nigerian law. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Criibb reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms.
5. Listings and Host Responsibilities
Hosts are responsible for creating accurate and complete listings on the Criibb Platform. By posting a listing, you agree that: • The property exists and is available as described; • All descriptions, prices, and photos are accurate and not misleading; • You are legally allowed to rent or lease the property (ownership, agency, or legal rights); • You will maintain the property in a safe and habitable condition; • You will respond to Guest inquiries or bookings in a timely manner. Criibb may moderate or remove listings that are fraudulent, incomplete, or violate Nigerian law or community standards. Hosts are not permitted to upload pornographic, defamatory, discriminatory, or misleading content. Criibb does not own or verify property listings and is not responsible for any damages or losses arising from misleading Host content.
6. Bookings and Guest Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for reading the full listing details, including rules, fees, and cancellation terms before making a booking. By making a booking, you agree that: • You understand and accept the terms and conditions of that specific listing; • You will treat the Host’s property with respect and follow any house rules provided; • You will not use the property for illegal or disruptive activities; • You accept that Criibb is not a party to your agreement with the Host and does not guarantee your experience. If you encounter any issues with your booking, you should first contact the Host. Criibb may offer support but is not liable for resolving disputes, damages, or miscommunications between users.
7. Payments and Fees
Currently, Criibb does not process payments on behalf of users. Guests and Hosts are solely responsible for handling payment arrangements directly. In the future, Criibb may implement a secure payment gateway. When that occurs: • Criibb may charge service fees or platform commissions, which will be transparently disclosed; • Fees may vary depending on booking type, duration, or location; • Criibb may withhold certain fees to ensure safety, prevent fraud, or resolve disputes. You agree to pay all applicable fees and charges related to your use of the Platform and to comply with the payment terms provided by the Host. Criibb is not liable for any monetary loss due to failed, delayed, or fraudulent payments outside the platform.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund policies are set by individual Hosts. Criibb does not determine or enforce specific cancellation or refund terms. Before booking, Guests should review the Host’s cancellation policy and communicate directly with the Host about refund expectations. Refunds may not be granted in cases involving: • Failure to follow check-in or house rules; • Change of plans or late cancellations; • Disputes not reported within 24 hours of check-in. In cases of fraud, property misrepresentation, or significant health/safety risks, Criibb reserves the right to investigate and suspend the Host. However, Criibb does not guarantee refunds, as it is not a party to the booking contract.
9. Privacy and Data Usage
Your privacy is important to us. Criibb collects and processes personal data to provide services, support, and improve user experience. Information collected may include your name, email, phone number, location, and usage behavior. We store data securely and only share information with third-party services as necessary (e.g. analytics, payment gateways in future, fraud prevention). By using Criibb, you consent to this collection and handling of data in accordance with our full Privacy Policy. You have the right to request deletion of your account or personal data at any time. 10. User Content and Intellectual Property
All content on Criibb, including the logo, trademarks, images, and platform UI, is owned by Criibb or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Users may not use, copy, or distribute any part of the platform without express permission. By submitting content (e.g., photos, descriptions, reviews), you grant Criibb a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote that content. You represent that you have rights to all submitted materials and that they do not violate any third-party rights. Criibb reserves the right to remove content that is offensive, illegal, or violates platform guidelines without notice.
11. Termination and Account Suspension
Criibb reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove your access to the Platform if: • You violate these Terms; • You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful conduct; • Your actions present a risk to the safety or trust of other users. We may also remove listings or user accounts for inactivity, suspected fraud, or misuse. You may close your Criibb account at any time by contacting support or through the settings section (once implemented). Termination does not affect any obligations incurred before the account closure.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Criibb Platform may include links to third-party websites, apps, or services, including social media, mapping, verification, or payment tools. These external services are not controlled or endorsed by Criibb. Your use of any third-party site or service is at your own risk and subject to their separate terms and privacy policies. Criibb is not responsible for the content, security, or functionality of these external services. Always review third-party terms carefully before using.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Criibb, its affiliates, partners, employees, and contractors harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or legal costs that arise due to: • Your breach of these Terms; • Your use or misuse of the Platform; • Any content you submit, upload, or publish; • Violations of third-party rights or applicable laws. This clause remains in effect even after termination of your account.
14. Force Majeure
Criibb is not liable for delays or failures to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control. These may include but are not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, power outages, internet disruptions, civil unrest, war, terrorism, government orders, or labor disputes. In such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to resume service but do not guarantee availability or functionality during such events.
15. Disclaimers of Warranties
The Criibb Platform and all content, features, and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Criibb makes no guarantee that the platform will always be secure, error-free, or uninterrupted. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the platform at your own risk. Any advice or information obtained through the platform does not create a warranty.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Criibb is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from: • Use or inability to use the Platform; • Any transaction or interaction between Users, Hosts, or Guests; • Unauthorized access or use of your data or account. Our total liability for any claim is limited to ₦50,000 or the amount you paid to Criibb in the past 12 months (if any), whichever is greater.
17. Changes to These Terms
Criibb may update or modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the Platform or email (if applicable). Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using Criibb.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes or legal actions arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved exclusively by Nigerian courts, located in Abuja or Lagos, unless otherwise required by law.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies or agreements referenced herein, represent the entire agreement between you and Criibb. They supersede all prior verbal or written communications or understandings related to your use of the Platform.

This Privacy Policy explains how Criibb collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use our platform. 21.1 Information We Collect: We collect personal information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and property details (if you're a host). We may also collect usage data, device information, IP address, location, and cookies. 21.2 How We Use Your Information: We use the data to operate and improve Criibb’s services, process transactions, prevent fraud, provide customer support, and communicate with you about updates or promotional content. 21.3 Sharing and Disclosure: We do not sell your personal data. We only share your data with trusted third parties when necessary—for example, to facilitate analytics, hosting, legal compliance, or future payment services. 21.4 Data Retention: We retain your information as long as your account is active, or as required to fulfill our legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time. 21.5 Data Security: We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of online transmission is 100% secure. 21.6 Cookies and Tracking: Criibb uses cookies and similar technologies to personalize content, analyze traffic, and improve user experience. You can manage your cookie settings through your browser. 21.7 User Rights: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can do this by contacting legal@criibb.com. 21.8 International Transfers: Although Criibb primarily serves users in Nigeria, your data may be stored or processed in other countries with appropriate protections. 21.9 Updates to This Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. 22. Refund Policy
This Refund Policy outlines the rights and responsibilities related to cancellations, refunds, and dispute resolution on the Criibb Platform. 22.1 Host-Defined Policies: Each Host may define their own cancellation and refund terms. Guests are responsible for reviewing these policies before booking. Criibb encourages Hosts to clearly communicate: • Cancellation windows and fees; • Conditions for full or partial refunds; • No-show and early departure rules. 22.2 Guest Cancellations: If a Guest cancels a booking, the refund (if any) will depend on the Host’s policy. Criibb is not liable for any refund denial. 22.3 Host Cancellations: If a Host cancels a confirmed booking: • Criibb may suspend or penalize the Host’s account; • The Guest may be eligible for a full refund; • Criibb may assist the Guest in finding alternative accommodation, but is not obligated to do so. 22.4 Force Majeure: In rare cases (e.g. natural disasters, civil unrest, health emergencies), Criibb may override standard policies to issue a discretionary refund, in whole or part. Criibb’s decision in such cases is final. 22.5 Payment Handling: If Criibb introduces a payment gateway in the future: • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method; • Processing fees may apply; • Refund times may vary depending on banks or providers. 22.6 Disputes: Guests and Hosts should resolve issues directly. If that fails, they may submit a formal dispute to Criibb at legal@criibb.com with supporting evidence. Criibb will review but is not obligated to intervene or issue refunds.
23. Community Rules and Prohibited Conduct
To maintain a safe and trustworthy platform, all users of Criibb—both Guests and Hosts—are expected to follow these community standards: 23.1 Respect and Non-Discrimination: All users must treat others with dignity and respect. Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or nationality is strictly prohibited. 23.2 Honesty and Transparency: Users must provide accurate information when creating accounts, listings, or bookings. Misleading content or fraudulent identities are not allowed. 23.3 No Illegal or Harmful Activity: The Criibb platform must not be used for: • Criminal activity, including fraud, money laundering, or trafficking; • Hosting or engaging in illegal gatherings; • Posting obscene, hateful, or violent content; • Promoting self-harm or exploitation. 23.4 Prohibited Content: Do not upload or share: • Pornographic or explicit material; • Content that incites hate or violence; • Copyrighted materials without permission; • Malicious software, scripts, or phishing links. 23.5 Fair Use and Multiple Accounts: Users must not: • Create multiple accounts to bypass suspensions or manipulate reviews; • Exploit platform bugs or system limitations; • Spam other users or misuse messaging features. 23.6 Reporting Violations: Users are encouraged to report misconduct or suspicious behavior through the platform or by contacting support at legal@criibb.com. Criibb may investigate and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination. 23.7 Enforcement: Violating these rules may result in removal of listings, account suspension, or legal action. Criibb reserves the right to act without notice in cases of severe misconduct.
24. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
24.1 Initial Resolution: Criibb encourages Guests and Hosts to resolve issues through open communication. Most disputes can be resolved directly between users by discussing expectations and outcomes respectfully. 24.2 Escalation to Criibb: If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate the issue to Criibb by contacting legal@criibb.com within 7 days of the incident. Submit all relevant documentation (e.g. photos, receipts, messages). Criibb may assist but does not guarantee mediation or enforcement. 24.3 Informal Negotiation: Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt an informal resolution with Criibb's help for at least 15 days. 24.4 Binding Arbitration: If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration in Abuja, Nigeria under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Cap A18 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004). The arbitration shall: • Be conducted in English; • Be resolved by a single neutral arbitrator; • Result in a final and binding decision. 24.5 Exceptions: You may still pursue matters in small claims court or seek injunctive relief if intellectual property or data rights are violated. 24.6 Class Action Waiver: All disputes must be resolved individually. You agree not to bring or participate in any class action or collective proceeding against Criibb. 24.7 Time Limitation: Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or it will be permanently barred. 24.8 Costs: Each party shall bear its own legal fees unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
25. Accessibility and Platform Availability
Criibb is committed to providing equal access to all users, regardless of physical ability, device type, or location. 25.1 Platform Availability: We strive to maintain consistent access to the Criibb Platform, but we do not guarantee 24/7 uptime. Scheduled maintenance, unexpected outages, or third-party service interruptions may affect availability. 25.2 Technical Requirements: To use Criibb, you need a stable internet connection and a compatible device. Some features may not function properly on outdated browsers or unsupported devices. 25.3 Accessibility Commitment: Criibb aims to meet recognized accessibility standards. We continue improving the platform to ensure it is usable for people with visual, auditory, or motor disabilities. 25.4 Reporting Issues: If you experience difficulty accessing any part of Criibb due to a disability or technical limitation, please contact us at support@criibb.com. We will do our best to provide alternative access or resolve the issue quickly.
26. Feedback and Reviews
Criibb allows users to leave public reviews and ratings after completing bookings. These reviews help maintain transparency and trust on the platform. 26.1 User Responsibility: All reviews must be honest, respectful, and fact-based. Users are prohibited from: • Posting fake reviews or ratings; • Using reviews to threaten, coerce, or extort; • Revealing private information or defamatory statements. 26.2 Criibb Moderation: Criibb may remove or hide reviews that violate these Terms or our community guidelines. However, we generally do not edit user content. 26.3 Ownership and Use: By submitting a review, you grant Criibb the right to display, use, or reproduce it for promotional or operational purposes. This includes displaying your name, profile, and review content publicly. 26.4 Disputing Reviews: If you believe a review is false, harmful, or violates your rights, contact Criibb support with evidence. While Criibb may investigate, we are not obligated to remove reviews unless they clearly violate policy.
27. Community Guidelines and Conduct
Criibb is a community built on trust, respect, and mutual accountability. To ensure a safe and welcoming environment, all users must follow these conduct guidelines. 27.1 Respect for Others: You agree to treat all users—Guests, Hosts, and Criibb staff—with kindness and professionalism. Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior is strictly prohibited. 27.2 No Illegal Activities: Users may not use the Platform for: • Fraud, scams, or money laundering; • Human trafficking or exploitation; • Drug use, weapons trade, or criminal enterprise; • Hosting or booking illegal gatherings or unlicensed rentals. 27.3 Content Standards: All listings, messages, and user-submitted content must be appropriate, non-violent, and free of adult or misleading material. 27.4 Platform Integrity: Do not: • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or manipulate Criibb systems; • Use bots or scrapers without permission; • Impersonate another user or entity; • Circumvent payment or platform features. 27.5 Reporting Violations: Users are encouraged to report misconduct or suspicious activity via legal@criibb.com. Criibb reserves the right to investigate and take corrective action, including suspending accounts or involving law enforcement. Violations of these guidelines may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.
28. Taxes and Legal Compliance
Criibb is not a tax advisor, but all users are responsible for understanding and fulfilling their legal and tax obligations in Nigeria. 28.1 Host Tax Responsibilities: If you earn income by listing properties on Criibb, you are responsible for: • Reporting that income to the relevant tax authorities; • Paying any applicable local, state, or federal taxes (e.g., income tax, VAT); • Complying with any business registration or licensing laws in your area. Criibb does not collect or remit taxes on your behalf unless required by law. We may provide tools or reports to assist with recordkeeping. 28.2 Guest Responsibilities: Guests must ensure they comply with local regulations when renting or staying at a property. This includes respecting community rules, curfews, or residential zoning laws (where applicable). 28.3 Legal Use of the Platform: All users must use Criibb in accordance with Nigerian law and applicable international laws. Users may not use Criibb for any purpose that violates the law or infringes on others’ rights. Criibb may cooperate with tax authorities or law enforcement in cases of suspected fraud, non-compliance, or illegal activity.
29. Business Use and Commercial Listings
Criibb supports both individual and business users, including real estate agencies, landlords, and property managers. 29.1 Business Accounts: If you're listing on behalf of a company, you must: • Provide accurate business information (e.g., name, RC number); • Ensure your listings are professionally managed and maintained; • Designate a contact person responsible for communications and compliance. 29.2 Multiple Listings: Agencies and large-scale Hosts may post multiple units, but should not duplicate listings or mislead users with false availability. Criibb may offer enterprise tools, dashboard features, or subscription tiers for high-volume Hosts in the future. 29.3 Legal and Ethical Standards: All commercial listings must adhere to local business laws, advertising standards, and housing regulations. Properties must be lawful, safe, and accessible. Criibb reserves the right to review, moderate, or remove listings that misrepresent business activity, violate platform policies, or present safety risks to users.
30. Platform Development and Feature Updates
Criibb is constantly evolving to better serve users across Nigeria. We may introduce new features, redesign the platform, or update existing tools and interfaces at any time. 30.1 Feature Rollouts: Features may be released gradually or in beta, and may be subject to change based on testing, user feedback, or performance metrics. 30.2 Bugs and Downtime: While we strive for a stable experience, occasional bugs, glitches, or downtime may occur. Criibb is not liable for: • Temporary access issues; • Feature malfunctions; • Delays in updates or rollouts. 30.3 Feedback and Suggestions: Users are encouraged to submit feedback or suggest improvements. By doing so, you grant Criibb permission to use, implement, or modify your suggestions without compensation or obligation. 30.4 Third-Party Tools: We may integrate third-party services (e.g., maps, analytics, verification tools). These are subject to their own terms, and Criibb is not responsible for their performance or data handling practices. By using Criibb, you accept that the platform is dynamic and subject to continuous improvement.
31. Security and Fraud Prevention
Criibb takes user security seriously and actively works to maintain a safe environment for all participants on the platform. 31.1 Account Protection: Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential. Do not share your password with others or reuse it across multiple platforms. If you suspect unauthorized access, update your password immediately and notify Criibb. 31.2 Platform Monitoring: Criibb may use automated systems and manual reviews to detect suspicious behavior, prevent scams, and block fraudulent accounts or listings. This includes monitoring IP addresses, device fingerprints, and unusual booking patterns. 31.3 Reporting Suspicious Activity: If you encounter a suspicious Host, listing, message, or payment request, report it immediately to legal@criibb.com or through the in-app reporting feature (when available). 31.4 Prohibited Fraud Practices: The following are strictly prohibited and may lead to permanent bans or legal action: • Fake listings or impersonating other users; • Phishing attempts, malware, or link manipulation; • False claims for refunds or damages; • Payment outside the platform (if Criibb payment system is active). 31.5 Platform Integrity: We reserve the right to investigate any potential fraud, suspend accounts under review, and work with authorities when necessary. 31.6 No Guarantee: While Criibb works diligently to prevent fraud, we do not guarantee absolute security. Users should remain cautious, verify property details, and avoid sending payments or personal information through insecure channels.
32. Modification and Termination of Services
Criibb reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Platform or any part of its services at any time, with or without prior notice. 32.1 Service Modification: We may add, remove, or alter features to improve functionality, respond to feedback, or adapt to technical, legal, or market changes. While we aim to minimize disruption, changes may impact how you use the Platform. 32.2 Account Termination: Criibb may suspend or terminate user accounts at its discretion, particularly in cases of: • Repeated violations of these Terms; • Fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity; • Extended inactivity; • Requests by legal authorities. 32.3 User-Initiated Termination: You may close your account at any time by contacting support or using available account settings. Account closure may result in the loss of access to past listings, reviews, and booking history. 32.4 No Obligation to Continue Services: Criibb has no ongoing obligation to maintain or support the Platform, nor to store or maintain user data after account deletion or service discontinuation. 32.5 Notice: If required by law, Criibb will attempt to provide reasonable notice prior to major service shutdowns or significant changes that impact users directly.
33. Hosting Standards and Quality Assurance
Criibb expects Hosts to maintain high standards in listing accuracy, guest communication, and property conditions. This ensures a trustworthy and satisfying experience for all users. 33.1 Listing Accuracy: Hosts must ensure that all descriptions, amenities, photos, and pricing are truthful and up to date. Misrepresentation may result in listing removal or account suspension. 33.2 Cleanliness and Safety: Hosts are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and habitable environment. This includes: • Regular cleaning before guest arrivals; • Ensuring functional locks, plumbing, and electricity; • Removing hazards or unsafe materials. 33.3 Communication and Responsiveness: Hosts should respond to guest inquiries promptly—ideally within 24 hours. Clear check-in instructions and ongoing support enhance the guest experience. 33.4 Guest Reviews and Ratings: Criibb monitors Host performance through guest reviews. Consistently low ratings may trigger a review of the Host’s account and listings. 33.5 Minimum Requirements: Criibb may implement baseline hosting standards (e.g., cancellation rate limits, cleanliness benchmarks, response times). Hosts who fail to meet these standards may face reduced visibility or removal. 33.6 Quality Audits: Criibb reserves the right to conduct quality checks or request verification (e.g., ownership documents, updated photos) to maintain platform integrity.
34. Environmental Responsibility and Sustainability
Criibb encourages all users—especially Hosts—to adopt environmentally responsible practices to reduce the ecological footprint of rental activities. 34.1 Eco-Friendly Hosting: Hosts are encouraged to implement sustainable practices such as: • Providing recycling bins and information; • Using energy-efficient appliances and lighting; • Reducing single-use plastics and offering reusable alternatives; • Encouraging water conservation. 34.2 Guest Participation: Guests can contribute by: • Turning off lights and electronics when not in use; • Minimizing water and energy consumption; • Disposing of waste responsibly. 34.3 Platform Commitment: Criibb aims to raise awareness about sustainability through platform features, educational content, and community engagement. We may highlight eco-conscious listings or provide sustainability badges in the future. 34.4 Local Impact: Users are encouraged to support local businesses, respect natural environments, and avoid behaviors that damage cultural or ecological heritage in the areas they visit. 34.5 Continuous Improvement: Criibb welcomes suggestions to improve sustainability initiatives and promote greener hosting. 35. Technology Use and Digital Safety
Criibb is committed to providing a safe and secure digital experience. Criibb is not liable for unauthorized access due to negligence or weak passwords. 35.2 Device Responsibility: Users are responsible for ensuring that the devices used to access Criibb are secure and free of malware or unauthorized monitoring tools. 35.3 Phishing and Scams: Do not click suspicious links, share sensitive information outside the platform, or respond to offers that seem fraudulent. Report any scam attempts to security@criibb.com. 35.4 Platform Integrity: Do not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or interfere with Criibb’s technology, APIs, or infrastructure. Such behavior is grounds for permanent ban and possible legal action. 35.5 Data Usage: Do not harvest, scrape, or use bots to collect information from Criibb. All data provided on the platform is protected and may not be reused for commercial purposes without written permission. 35.6 Reporting Issues: If you detect a bug, vulnerability, or suspicious activity, report it immediately to security@criibb.com. Criibb takes all safety concerns seriously and will investigate promptly.
36. Environmental Commitment and Sustainability
Criibb supports environmentally responsible practices and encourages all users to contribute to a sustainable future. 36.1 Eco-Friendly Listings: Hosts are encouraged to adopt sustainable practices in their properties, such as using energy-efficient appliances, reducing water waste, and minimizing single-use plastics. 36.2 Green Certifications: If your property has environmental certifications (e.g. LEED, solar-powered), you may highlight them in your listing, provided they are verifiable. 36.3 Digital Sustainability: Criibb optimizes its platform for energy-efficient web usage and data processing. We continually evaluate our digital infrastructure to reduce our carbon footprint. 36.4 User Responsibility: Guests are encouraged to: • Conserve energy and water during their stay; • Dispose of waste properly and recycle where available; • Avoid damaging natural environments near the property. 36.5 Awareness and Education: Criibb may promote eco-conscious listings or provide tips on sustainable travel and hosting. Together, we aim to build a platform that benefits both people and the planet.
37. Intellectual Property Infringement and DMCA Policy
Criibb respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. 37.1 Reporting IP Violations: If you believe your copyrighted work or trademark has been used on Criibb without permission, please submit a detailed complaint to legal@criibb.com. Include: • A description of the work being infringed; • The exact URL(s) of the infringing material; • Your contact details and a statement of good faith belief. 37.2 Counter Notices: If your content is removed due to an infringement claim and you believe it was mistakenly taken down, you may submit a counter notice. Criibb will review it and may reinstate the content if appropriate under applicable laws. 37.3 Repeat Infringers: Criibb may suspend or permanently ban users who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights. 37.4 DMCA Compliance: For users and rightsholders based in jurisdictions covered by the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Criibb complies with applicable notice-and-takedown procedures as a matter of global IP best practice, even though we are based in Nigeria. 37.5 Platform Integrity: You may not upload, share, or promote content that you do not have the legal rights to distribute. This includes images, logos, videos, software, and proprietary documents. Criibb reserves the right to remove or restrict content at its sole discretion if it appears to violate intellectual property rights.

Criibb communicates with users primarily through electronic means. Missing a notice due to outdated or inactive contact information will not exempt you from the content or consequences of that notice. 38.4 Opt-Outs and Preferences: You may manage certain communication preferences (e.g., promotional emails) via account settings once available. However, you cannot opt out of critical service or legal communications. 38.5 Delivery Failure: Criibb is not responsible for delays or failures in communication caused by inactive accounts, spam filters, or service provider errors. These communication methods ensure timely updates and compliance for both Criibb and its users.
39. Interpretation and Waiver
This section clarifies how these Terms should be understood and enforced in the event of ambiguity or inconsistency. 39.1 Headings and Formatting: The section titles and formatting used in these Terms are for convenience only and do not affect their legal meaning or interpretation. 39.2 No Waiver: Criibb’s failure to enforce any part of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so in the future. Similarly, a waiver granted in one situation does not imply a waiver in any other or future situation. 39.3 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or regulatory body, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. 39.4 Interpretation in Good Faith: These Terms shall be interpreted fairly and reasonably, not strictly for or against either party, regardless of who drafted them. 39.5 Language: These Terms are written in English and governed by English-language interpretation. 40. Survival of Terms After Termination

By continuing to use Criibb or returning to the platform in the future, you remain subject to any applicable surviving Terms.
